Looks like a decent enough version, although you will see I have already commented there that blown fuse = likely bullshit. Should have bought one of these years ago when they were about $10k less.

As long as it's not that terrible, horrible, morally wrong German two-tone crap that they put on some of these cars.

Way to ruin a bunch of otherwise achingly beautiful Z8s BMW.

I think black with black seats and red Alcantara inserts would be hot on this

I hear you can get a Ferrari for, like, less than 2x the ask.

If this one were perfect though I think the ask is in the game. They're a future classic. Even fewer S54 powered M coupes made than 1Ms.

When did the clown shoe appreciate so much?

I never drove one of these, but I did get to drive a Z4 M Coupe that belonged to the friend of a friend. Fantastic thing, but at 6'4" I felt quite cramped and claustrophobic. The Z3 M has a much bigger greenhouse.

Haha. True.

I don't know, man. I love these cars. But to me they're just used cars! What does a Z3 of the same era go for? Five grand?

I get the feeling I will eat these words someday...

I've always wondered what it is with California and crack pipe cars.

Maybe they went to Idaho in the summertime?

Not sure if serious...these things weigh nothing and make 333 hp from one of the best engines ever made. What more could you want.

driver connection is a good thing and the boat anchor comment was sarcasm. Lusted after them for years

Well I used to DD an E28 535i with a stick...although it's been demoted to project-car status. Daily driver now alternates between an 01 Accord V6 and an 05 MDX. Not exactly exciting, but I'm hoping to make a career change soon that should enable me to put some money into the E28 and get something better as a DD. What do you drive?

an 08 wrx, not the best year, not the worst. I love it dearly and she has her fair share of goodies, and in my opinion the optimal amount of power for the chassis/drivetrain

Supply and Demand my friend.. and for a 36k mile S54? This is cheap. The standard at the moment is 34-35k for a 50k mile car unless it comes in a more desirable color combination. I own one and follow this market very closely.

www.mcoupebuyersguide.com Look for yourself...

High end low mileage retail is now in the high 40s breaking 50k

One of my buddies actually used to have one too...definitely a fun car. Tuned it and also upgraded the turbo and intake/exhaust...think it was close to about 350 hp or so. Definitely enough power for that light car. Had lots of fun in that thing.

My car produces 365hp/420tq! Pretty similar! I adore mine. It's just a point and shoot vehicle

For sure...with the AWD they're pretty much drama-free. Although one time before he had the chance to put better tires on it, we got it to kick the ass out around a freeway on-ramp. That was fun :p

it's barrels of fun, you don't need that much counter steer angle when 4wheel drifting on gravel so once you get used to it you can keep a hand on the shifter (proper form right?) no need for twisting hands over hand oppo

Also fewer Z4M coupes, which are almost as rare (within ~200) in North America. For some reason I don't understand, people treat the S54 01-02's like it's a lot rarer.
